Smith & Wesson 642
Smith & Wesson Model 642: The Centennial series, of which the 642 is one variety, was originally introduced in 1952. They are all metal, small-framed ("J-frame" in the S&W nomenclature) 5 or 6-shot revolvers. The 642 is a 5-shot DAO in .38 Special with a 1.875" barrel, and is one of the most popular concealed-carry guns in the world. The standard overall size of this design is 6.5".
