Castledermot South Cross, East Face
This Irish cross is on the grounds of a 10th century monastery, and likely dates to that time. The original is almost 9' tall. The East Face of the cross is entirely decorated in geometric designs as seen here. Prints of this design are available as a complete cross or as individual elements. Due to the relatively simple design it renders well in acrylic, ceramic tile, or stone. Full cross in acrylic is approximately 8" high. Full cross as shown on stone is approximately 4" x 12". Cross head shown on approx. 4" x 4" tile. More information about the cross can be found here.
